Our Services

We pride ourselves on offering a fully comprehensive service to our customers irrespective of their project type, size, or its development stage.

If your PV system is still at the idea only stage we can offer straight forward impartial information and advice on what you could realise, at what cost, and the likely return on your investment including advice on where grants or other financial support might be available.

From an initial enquiry we will make a thorough site survey to include the structural integrity of roofs or other support structures and your existing electrical supply system. Depending on the size of the project this normally takes from a few hours up to a full day. We will advise you of any costs beforehand and these are generally fully refundable should you decide to go ahead. Within a few days we then provide you with a fully detailed quotation together with a graphical simulation of the completed project which includes any reduction in performance due to shading from adjacent structures or tress, and enables you to visualise the appearance of the installation after it is completed.

Depending on the nature, size and complexity of the project we can then, if required, negotiate with Local Planning Authorities, District Network Operators and other to ensure that all necessary permissions and authorisations are obtained in advance of your installation.

This Mid Wales Hill Farmer in a remote location asked us to look at the possibility of putting a large Solar PV array on the roof of a new lambing shed he had just erected. Our survey identified that the new building was poorly orientated towards maximum sunlight and would additionally suffer from shadowing for 4 months of the year.

In addition, he only had a single phase supply to the farm. Discussions with the DNO confirmed that the provision of a 3 phase supply from some miles away would be almost prohibitive on cost grounds. During the survey we identified two adjacent much older South facing buildings which both had very sound structural frames but which needed re-cladding. We proposed that the client re-roofed the older buildings and installed an 18.8kWp Solar array across the two buildings with the agreement of the DNO. With a payback period of just 12.2 years and a return on investment of 8% our client is delighted.

This bungalow is owned by a retired couple who were very disappointed with the financial returns they were receiving on their savings and investments. Being of a mature age their interest was not to achieve a large return over a 25 year period but instead to subsidise their modest electricity consumption, do "something for the environment” and make an investment for their future beneficiaries.

Although they had a large South facing roof area we proposed a small 1.4 kWp system which would provide a useful generation capacity balanced against their existing electricity consumption. We advised them on how to maximise their use of Solar generated electricity simply by operating appliances like washing machines on sunny days rather than overnight as they had in the past. With a payback period of 9.1 years and a return of almost 11% they were extremely pleased with the project.
